At FAMA Technologies, we are committed to protecting the integrity and security of the data handled by our applications.
This Privacy Policy outlines how the FAMA Infinite Digital TV Player application
("the Application") collects, uses, and safeguards device and operational data when deployed on supported TV hardware.
1. Data Collection & Purpose
The Application operates as an enterprise digital signage player. To ensure reliable performance,
maintain service availability, and manage hardware fleets across client environments, the Application
automatically collects background operational, performance, and diagnostic telemetry via standard
infrastructure services (including Firebase Analytics and Firestore).
We collect and process this data strictly for the following purposes:
-
Fleet Management & Provisioning:
Identifying active devices, monitoring status, and delivering targeted content configurations
to specific client screens.
-
System Health & Maintenance:
Diagnosing hardware constraints, system crashes, and operational bottlenecks.
-
Service Analytics:
Monitoring uptime, playback reliability, and overall application health.
2. Categories of Data Collected
A. Unique Identifiers
-
Device & Account Identifiers:
Unique hardware/screen identifiers and associated CMS client account IDs used to pair
physical displays with management dashboards.
B. System & Hardware Telemetry
-
Resource Utilization:
Available storage capacity, RAM usage, and application footprint.
-
Thermal & Hardware State:
Device operating temperature, thermal throttling indicators, and power/battery status
(where applicable).
-
Network & Connectivity:
Signal quality, network status, bandwidth utilization, and connection state changes.
C. Operational & Playback Logs
-
Media Execution:
Content play, fail, complete, and loop events.
-
Sync & System State:
Content download verification, synchronization status, and application
foreground/background transitions.
3. Data Linkage & Third-Party Sharing
-
No Personal Data (PII):
The Application does not collect personally identifiable information such as end-user
names, email addresses, phone numbers, or billing details.
-
Device-Level Linkage:
All telemetry is linked exclusively to the physical display unit and its assigned client
account for operational administration.
-
Zero Commercial Sharing:
FAMA does not sell, rent, license, or trade collected telemetry to data brokers,
advertising networks, or third parties.
-
No Tracking or Ads:
Collected data is never used for targeted advertising, retargeting, cross-app tracking,
or consumer profiling.
4. Explicitly Excluded Data
To maintain strict operational boundary limits, the Application does not
request access to or collect:
- Location data (precise or coarse geographical location)
- Personal contacts, address books, or user account credentials
- Personal media files (photos, camera feeds, or local user media libraries)
- Audio recordings or microphone inputs
- Financial, health, or personal biometric data
5. Data Security & Retention
-
Security Measures:
All telemetry transmitted between the Application and our backend infrastructure is encrypted
in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS). Data stored in backend
databases is protected using access control lists (ACLs) restricted to authorized engineering personnel.
-
Data Retention:
Device health and playback data is retained for 90 days and then deleted.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical improvements, platform requirements,
or regulatory updates. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised
"Last Updated" date.
